IAE Statement on KC-390 Rollout

IAE International Aero Engines AG congratulates Embraer Defense & Security on the rollout and completion of the first KC-390 aircraft. IAE is proud to support Embraer in the development of this cutting-edge, world-class military aircraft. The continued evolution of IAE’s hallmark V2500 engine is a testament to the team’s ability to innovate and achieve customer goals. IAE looks forward to closely collaborating with Embraer through the next phase of testing to ensure a successful first flight.  The V2500-E5 engine, rated at 31,330 pounds of thrust, was selected in July 2011 by Embraer Defense & Security and the Brazilian Air Force, which established the KC-390 requirements. IAE is supporting a scheduled 2016 entry into service.
