Rolls-Royce & Partners Finance Receive Pure-V™ Recognition

FARNBOROUGH AIRSHOW, July 15, 2014 – IAE International Aero Engines AG awarded Rolls-Royce & Partners Finance Limited (RRPF) with Pure-V designation for maintaining its fleet of V2500® spare engines to OEM build standards and incorporating only IAE-approved parts and repairs.

“We are proud to earn the Pure-V designation,” said Bobby Janagan, vice president and general manager, RRPF. "Our Pure-V engines help drive high operational efficiency, maintain low cost of ownership, and give our customers confidence that our engines are maintained to the highest standards.”

“Pure-V engines have demonstrated better reliability and longer time on-wing,” said Matthew Bromberg, president, Pratt & Whitney Aftermarket. “RRPF will enjoy the operational and financial value that the Pure-V program offers.”

IAE's records have shown that engines maintained to OEM standards consume less fuel, have fewer unscheduled removals and have up to 20 percent longer time on-wing between shop visits. Approximately 60 percent of the V2500 fleet qualifies as Pure-V.

Pure-V designation is important to lessors as their business is built around reliability and asset value retention. Today, approximately 50 percent of the V2500 fleet is lessor owned or managed.

IAE's Pure-V engine program is designed to help operators and lessors enhance residual values for their V2500 engines. The program rewards operators who maintain OEM build standard engines with extended warranties on parts. IAE can also provide a customized conversion kit for engines that do not currently meet the Pure-V standard.

IAE is a multinational aero engine consortium whose shareholders are comprised of Pratt & Whitney (NYSE: UTX), Pratt & Whitney Aero Engines International GmbH, Japanese Aero Engines Corporation and MTU Aero Engines. To date, more than 6,000 V2500® engines have been delivered to close to 200 customers around the world.>

Pure-V™ is a trademark of United Technologies Corporation – Pratt & Whitney and is licensed to IAE International Aero Engines AG.
