IAE Statement on Spirit Airlines Nov. 9 Incident

A Spirit Airlines V2500-powered Airbus A319 bound from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., on Nov. 9 experienced an incident shortly after take-off. The plane returned to O’Hare International Airport and landed safely. IAE International Aero Engines AG is working with authorities and the operator to assess the situation.
