International Aero Engines Statement on British Airways Flight 762
On May 24, a British Airways V2500-powered Airbus A319 bound from London to Oslo experienced an incident shortly after take-off. The plane returned to Heathrow. IAE International Aero Engines is working with authorities and the operator to assess the situation.
The V2500 engine family has a strong safety and reliability record, and the fleet has accumulated more than 110 million flight hours since entering service in 1989.
